Global Report, August 7, 2008

New Missionaries Being Deployed: In the coming months 30 Foursquare missionary units will deploy to the following nations: Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Thailand, Romania, Honduras, Sierra Leone, Botswana, Philippines, Nepal and Tajikistan. Two missionary units, Kathy Alexander-sent by Bothell Eastside Foursquare in Bothell, Wash.-and the Godwins-sent by Hope Chapel Huntington Beach in Huntington Beach, Calif.-deployed within the last few weeks (to Sierra Leone and Mexico, respectively). We rejoice for the great work that the Lord is doing moving workers to the harvest field!

Indonesia:
Last week missionaries Jerry and Julie Stott prayed with Indonesian pastors Theresia and Moody and their sons, interceding for a miracle for their friend Kaleb. Kaleb was in a coma and could only breathe through a ventilator. In the days following this time of prayer, God miraculously healed Kaleb. He is now able to breathe on his own, is no longer in a comatose state and can converse with those around him. Praise God!

West Africa:
FMI regional representative to the Francophone nations, Daniel Lucero, and his youngest teenager, Julia, traveled to West Africa in July to minister in Senegal, Guinea and Guinea Bissau. Great progress was made in the region as national councils were established in Guinea and Guinea Bissau and plans were outlined for continued advancement. Julia proved to be an amazing travel and prayer partner on the trip as well, photographing much of the journey and ministering alongside her father.

Myanmar: One of the Foursquare churches in Yangon, Myanmar that was destroyed by Cyclone Nargis in May has now been rebuilt and dedicated. Pastor Charity Htoo reports that the Holy Spirit is moving amongst the members of this church and there are now roughly 70 people that attend.
